Ready to Shoot
• Written by AboriginalClimate
Drinking, not thinking; I took it too far again
Blinking and sinking down into the deep end
My heart tries its hardest to keep me afloat
But it seems that I am just a poorly put-together boat
That's okay, I will set sail with cracks in my hull
I will follow the cries of the lonely seagull
Out to sea, I'll be riding waves; it's easy
And when the storms roll in, I'm feeling dreamy, not queasy
Because something in the back of my mind can't help wonder
What comes at the end? Under the water, after the thunder?
I'm not actively saying that I want to pass on
It's just a morbid fascination I've yet to cash in on
I like to keep the best secrets close to my chest
I like to steer my vessel towards the setting sun, out west
Lend me your ears, let me borrow your fears
Tears running your face every day for years
Let's get to root and pass on all the fright
Let's get ready to shoot every scary thing in sight
