The Legend of Ugolino
• Written by YoungJamesDean
[Intro]
"As I am a faithful man,
and by the precious body of Madrian,
I had rather than a barrel of ale
that Goodlief, my wife, had heard this story!
For she is by no means of such patience
as was this Melibeus' wife, Predence.'
[Verse 1]
I'm whipped
My life's pride has been stripped
My wife beats me, I'm stuck in our relationship
That's the whole reason I took this trip
I love her, but she makes me cower
My lover, I am the Bauer
But I will stand up to all she encounter
For she is my wife, I could not be prouder
I know she may lead to a life of hardships
But I'm lost when I'm not in her presence
She may cause me to kill
Which goes against my whole will
With the way I wield my knife
I could take many life
I dare not stand against my wife
All who do I shall sodomize
But let's pass on from these gruesome rhymes
[Hook]
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
[Verse 2]
I'm honestly not sure about telling this
"Sir, we must hear your analysis
Show us your intelligence
Your wife's thoughts, irrelevance
Don't worry about the consequence.
Tell your story, Mr. Don
Break out a bottle of Chandon
If it's great, we'll celebrate
Tell your story, don't hesitate."
I shall do my very best
To tell of this manifest
I have one, or two, or three
I shall tell them lyrically
I'll tell these stories of tragedy
Concerning one who stood in prosperity
But who fell in misery
His life ended wretchedly
The story is not very heavenly
Which against my personality
But if on this trip we must indulge
In the way other stories are told
I'll speak this story undisclosed
[Hook]
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
[Verse 3]
The knight only permits a few stories
So I'll tell one allegory
Earl Ugolino, the count of Pisa
Who left this Earth like, "Bye Felicia"
Listen as I craft my story, like Ikea
Earl was convicted of a crime
The reason why is undefined
But his arrest was publicized
He was thrown in jail
And his children as well
They were innocent
Yet they were chained; imprisonment
They were fed minimally
Hoping they'd be killed eventually
That day was inevitable
They searched for any thing edible
One day, his son finally died
He gave his life for his father's appetite
But his father was dissatisfied
He cried over his son's death
He bit his arms in distress
His children cried out, "Eat us instead!
Don't waste your bread!"
Ugolino fell in despair and hunger
His family fell asunder
They buried him six feet under
To this day, we still don't know his blunder
[Hook]
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
[Bridge]
We all experience downfalls
Where were you when I called
When I was lost
What was the cost, of caring?
I'm torn by my kids sharing
The voices in my head keep blaring
Don't worry about their hearts; they're tearing
We all experience downfalls
Where were you when I called
When I was lost
What was the cost, of caring?
I'm torn by my kids sharing
The voices in my head keep blaring
Don't worry about their hearts; they're tearing
We all experience downfalls
Where were you when I called
When I was lost
What was the cost, of caring?
I'm torn by my kids sharing
The voices in my head keep blaring
Don't worry about their hearts; they're tearing
[Hook]
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
Listen as I tell my tale
This is real, no fairytale
Inhale, take in each and every detail
My stories short
But it's a great report
Of a man wrongly tried in court
[Outro]
"Fortune cut this man away from his high station.
That should be enough of this tragedy;
whoever wishes to learn further details
of it can read the great Italian poet named Dante,
who has explained it fully,
point by point,
without missing one word."
