The Intro (Franchise 99)
• Written by SirGunz
(Intro)
I feel like growing up I never had a chance to really express myself
I guess now is that time. The time to be Franchise 99
(Verse 1)
Lookin for peace I waged internal war
You comin for me? I got a verbal sword
And I dont play games I cut ya head off
Spit a couple bars on a sweet sixteen kill the beat shake the dead off
It's funny how concious rappers will get the boot
Then they hit the booth then they fuck up and they follow suit
You're supposed to be different cuz you're an outcast
Good rappers are rare like the steaks in the outback
Nobody wants to hear the truth they keep it dumb down
They rap about killin but get mad when they get gunned down
Oh it aint fun now This aint no fun and games
We listen to it killin ourselves so we're the ones to blame
We gotta change give ourselves some credit
Or we gon have multiple generations infected
Multiple Mike Browns and Everybodies arrested
MLK had a dream and I just came to protect it
(Verse 2)
Somebody needs to speak for my people
Cuz if we protest it's illegal even if the shit is peaceful
So they comin out with tear gas unleashing the K-9
Don't you see the news or do you choose to stay blind
I'm tryna hit yall with some knowledge if you take it
Just take a look around why is everyone a racist?
Why do I see all this hatred? America needs a facelift
This movement need a name and a way to keep it sacred
Or all these lyrics were wasted falling to a stony ground
I dont want my son thinkin selling rock is the only route
I need him to be aware and question to not be deceived
And to not let anybody ever try to kill his dream
We living in a world where revolution is frowned upon
But ask Washington revolution is what we're founded on
So Ima keep rapping until my body drop
Keepin yall informed and warned until my body stop
