On My Grind

KatV's Notes

Finally finished. I'd appreciate advice. Somewhat dark. Talks about how far I've come since September 2014 and January 2016 (major life changes) and how I'll continue to rap, despite struggles.*I'm not really bleeding, making a reference to the pain I've endured this past year and previous self harm struggles. :)

//Verse 1:
I'm writing, anybody see me struggling?
See me suffering the pain keeps lurking
Life is buffering I'm still hurting getting these words in
Wondering about the first thing hurting

Searching and only observing watching and learning
Serving a dangerous king seeking some type of feeling
Random enough I'm nervous as blood is seeping
Leaking out onto the ground my breath is wheezing

Push on, stay strong go long back to the 1st song
My Scars, self harm now I'm rapping about a new dawn
True fawn, through the porn flashing, his acting I'm gone
Computer crashing like a deer in headlights I'm withdrawn

Admit it hit me heavy, thought me and bae would be steady
I spit raps bout my pain, heartache so get ready freddy
To wonder like Alice I call him my fraggle where's my teddy?
Yeah bestie had to leave, he was my fave chocolate like Nestle

//Chorus:
See the king is a queen, better call her me!
This thing is a dream, stall her please
Evil side of me gonna scheme for my regime
Don't need no self esteem, I'm a mean machine

//Verse 2:
That was last year so let's cheer for what's new here!
Free here, I can be here, I see clear here, hear every gear for real
Favorite color is teal like my dream of a rapper being surreal
See how I feel is how I deal with every fear stop shedding a tear
White girl but my name ain't O'Neil like ginger hair due to some Nair

Trudging along finished my first song even before prom
Hope hasn't diminished I go headstrong
Fight on with my homies but we stay calm
Go on, laugh on at me I'm a sitcom dropping this bomb

On my grind all the time, I use it as a tool to unwind so I'm fine
I write even though I'm part blind feeling like I'll fall behind
Wanna rewind time, head back to my prime time in summertime
Turning 16 like degrees fighting crime you try to throw up a gang sign

Pop goes the weasel cuz of that lethal needle, try to keep it peaceful
Doing things illegal killing that cereal nah I'll kill the sequel
You fight like you medieval being deceitful so get an earful
Through your skull and cerebral, past the rapper girl in the steeple

//Chorus:
See the king is a queen, better call her me!
This thing is a dream, stall her please
Evil side of me gonna scheme for my regime
Don't need no self esteem, I'm a mean machine

//Verse 3:
Oh lawd this freaky girl going hard, she got mad bars like candybars
This ain't about the women and your fast car, celebrity stars
Drop the mask, don't prop the bank see all these nasty scars so far:
African kids starve, London wants to evolve, men with no jobs

So why not make a change maybe rearrange life don't quit cuz of age or your squad
Use the gifts you got to stop the death of a kid from a cop his life won't be robbed
Keep things classy, top notch leave haters behind with a flick of your wrist
Say goodbye like you an orphaned kid you might save the life of a druggie on a trip

Do what I should, I'm on my grind for Him I'm tippin'
Fought the addiction, the health condition, the sinnin'
Trippin' on this grind I'm still spittin' that's written
On love I'm sippin so I'm still driven (on that grind!)

Claws are out, no fightin like a kitten the war is on
Drop the beat like a box from Amazon c'mon son
Go harder than Super Girl on Krypton with a bomb
Bro go long cuz I'll stay on this grind past Babylon!
