Looking from the outside in, what do you see?

A perfect girl with the perfect family.

Little do they know, this girl has troubles

She grew up with a lifetime filled with struggles.

At age two, parents got divorced

they divorced, the reason? well back then it was unknown

Now I sit here and realize why I went from home to home

Age four she began to feel what we call anxiety

But five years from now I bet she see's

Life aint all it was hyped up to be.

Ages five through thirteen shit got hard

So I'm going to need some help, on this next part

Age fourteen rolled around, started poppin pills

Feelings of happiness, numbness and power

Little did she know she had no willpower

Years went on and the insanity continued

It didnt take long until she had nothing to contribute

Every night she sat by her bed yelling why cant I be happy

This girl knew deep down she belonged with family

Finally the girl threw her hands up in the sky and said I surrender

Because certainly one man’s trash is another man’s treasure

Today she is clean and sober from what once destroyed her

Life’s a bitch and I feel her but we need to make the best of what we got
