Silvery Gibbon

The Silvery Gibbon, never heard of it before?
Well, it’s in the Animalia kingdom
Because is has oh so many cells
Their cells are eukaryotic
Meaning that they have a nucleus
As well as other organelles inside membranes
Yo!
Silvery Gibbons are part of the phylum chordata
Because they have a post-anal tail
At some point in their life cycle
As well as a notochord
And a hollow dorsal nerve cord
Here’s a diagram ‘cause you’re probably getting bored
They’re in the Mammalia class
Because they have quite a bit of hair
And they produce milk in the mammary glands
They also have three bones in the middle of their ear
And a four chambered heart
And also four limbs
Yo!
When you hear the word primates
What do you think of?
A monkey eating a banana
Or an angry ape thumping its chest?
Well, Silvery Gibbons are primates, too
Primates must have five digits, opposable thumbs
And can walk just fine on two legs
A silvery gibbon is part for the hylobatidae family
In other words, they are hylobates
It’s name means ‘forest walker’
Miss Walker?
Nah, not really
Well, prove it, then
Does Miss Walker have no tail?
Hm… yeah?
And are her arms really long like a gibbon’s?
Mmhmm...
And are her `long and thin like a Silvery Gibbon?
Yeah….
And they usually have a white ring of fur ‘round their faces
Oh…. so maybe she’s not part of the hylobatidae family
How about the Hominidae family?
So that’s a wrap
For our random rap
We hope you’ve enjoyed
And learned a bit? (probably not though)
The end.
