Living Within
• Written by NameRestraint
We listen like...
Like raps are supposed to show you our fury
Put your real soul in it, purely
and you can rest assured that we won't even worry.
The rapper tells the story and surely
the beat holds us and carries us over, obscurely
into a meditative state...
enter into the sacred space
is it a groove you feel? whatever shape it takes, this forever makes a place
never forget; and music is just a portal
for what lay within and immortal.
Every rhyme i meant to create
mentally supported my enmity when I was sent to my fate:
being essentially censored and cleansed of my slate
no life, no family or friends to relate
the hidden legend awaits,
and then he awakes---
this is truth rap. Move back, try harder, 'cause I guard it.
Whichever emcee I face who wanna get fried: start it.
This is soul rhyme, and compared to mines your lines garbage...
Wit and intelligence in a rap are just byproducts,
your shit is irrelevant, trust me I'm just being kindhearted
Every word I say -- who says it elsewhere?
What's a man to himself bare, when nobody else cares?
When another person's self stares into you clear
like a mirror, does your fear appear, do you live sincere?
The realm of these questions is as near and dear to your self as inhaled air
The outer world is dominated by men and women,
Consider your own person, ow look at Him and
look at Her, then
think of them, and lend me your inner ear
so I can ask "could you live with her or him in here"?
