Never Escape

I hear the ghostly echoes of the boy in past,

As I lie in the dark, It sends pain to my heart.

My soul lies dead in the blackness, tainted and scarred,

Forever stuck in a maze, and all what's left will depart.

I fear the sky will crash down, like a tower of cards

The earth will burn in satans flames, leaving rubble and shards.

I'm taking pills to forget the raw emotion I feel,

And pray to anyone who listens that I'm open to heal.

It feels like going into battle with a broken old shield,

a war I can't win, but merely fight to be killed

I wonder what this sickness is, it must be cancer in the brain,

Can't go about the day, hibernate beneath the rain

Forever lost in thought, overcast clouds of grey.
