Now I am about to tell a story

About a young one named corey

He grew up in a bad neighborhood, with people only warring

Seeing others do harm, affected him strongly

So the choice was made, he was gonna join the forces

So he could protect, the ones he held dear, and build a career

His life was put in sixth gear, his mission was clear, he had no fear

As he went through training, his dreams became reality

He was part of something bigger, got a brand new family

Finished rapidly, a strong boy with lots of apathy

Soon they were to be deployed, to a far land - destroyed

Walking on the battlefield, a weapon he would wield

Bullets flying everywhere, he made a quick prayer

This the moment he'd trained for, he was hardcore

There was a score, to settle, with these filthy terrorists

Occupying settlements, killing innocents, life on the front - was hard

Corey saw too much, mind scarred

It was, ripping at his heart

Flashbacks to his youth, when he saw the death come close

The moment all changed, an IED killed the guys he called bro's

Now devils start lurking in the shadows, the shadows

Drinking a habit, then drugs were added

Slowly losing sanity, it's a tragedy

When his best buddy overdosed, his mind turned to a ghost

All cuz of the post, his story closed

He grabbed the gun, put it to his head

Then all over, all over, he was dead...
