Life so far
• Written by DougieFresh
Let me tell about a little kid named doug,
even when he was little, he was he biggest thug
he had two happy parents, good as glee,
but his future was dark, only god could see,
as he got bigger, so did the stresses
its like one parent was in a different dimension,
argueing, could not just agree on a thing,
but he was still treated like a king,
told everything was fine, so thats what beleived,
until he was told his mom had to leave.
she was gone, burried in the shade of a tree,
lots of "ilove yous" and "im sorry" is what hed received
but to him it was a relief
he was happy,
no more finding empty vodka bottles,
no more of that family drama,
but to him it was a relief
he was happy,
no more finding empty vodka bottles,
no more of that family drama,
so his moms been gone for 5 years or so,
hes starting to get kind old, and grown,
but its 6th grade and things are looking bad,
on his report card, c's are all he had
he constany reminded of the loss of his mom,
kids are going up to him and saying "your mom"
it made him wanna huddle and cry,
everyday he woke up and told himself the same lie,
im fine,
he had a step mom, i wont say her name,
but for some reason , he drove her insane,
he never intentionally did something to bother her,
so cold when she walked in the room people said"burrr"
he got used to it, and got over it too,
now he had started going to his local youth group,
his grades got better and so did he,
he took his pain and made it a reason to believe,
hes graduated 8th grade and seen the light,
he thinks life is tunnel, light then dark then light,
some people tunnels are longer than others,
but he know everyone will recover.
so all you people who still have a mom who hugs and kisses you and
bosses you around, dont take that for granted, because when you come
home from school, you know she will be there waiting for you. because she
loves you. and a mothers love never dies
