Like Joseph

I was down, so down like Joseph in the ditch
With My Star so bright, yeah they couldn't compete
Tried to fight all of my battles, figured I wasn't complete
Even with all of my losses I still remembered my dreams
It was like yesterday
The thoughts that came back to me
Flashes of a rainy day
When I was in distress, in need of a greater hand
My soul was locked up in prison in this stranger's land
Yeah
Temptations arisen
But I never saw the reason
To live my life as if it was mine all for the taking
If I had fallen, my brethren, that'd be maximum treason
To the way, to the life, the creed I believe in
I stand for truth, I stand for Justice
That's straight from EB
The owner's wife, the owners' properties
That ain't no living
I could run, I could stand
But no hiding from the darkness
This is what I brought upon myself, I gotta face it
But like him, more like Joseph, Victorious only for a moment
The foundation that I'm standing is greater than that made by all men
I'm great and created in the image of one who's the greatest
Love showered undeservedly but some of them hated
Tried to tear me up, tear up my coat colour coated
Now it's back to the beginning, where everything's kinda faded
The beginning of the end it is, in his glory I am coated
I am one in many
Sold for just mere Pennies
It's a plan in God's big picture for Love and for Family
Then came the dreams, them solutions to problems
'Incomplete'
