Shade's Notes
About someone who lost a family member in a war, waiting on their bed after cutting themselves.
Jesus, it's been ten month's since he died in the war
I wish I could take a flight to the Afghans just to settle scores
Such an influential source, I need a mental pause
As my blood level falls
I reflect on the ocean's my ancestors crossed
I let the white man get me, tally it as a loss
The flash loss
But before we used to laugh cause'
We made fun out of our jazz talks
I can see the sun falling
Undone bonding and rotting while this sting is not resolving
Now I'm done sobbing
Because in the end everyone is parting
I beg your pardon
But the postwar margin of happiness is less than the rate of adoption
We once came from fields of cotton to roses
Jesus chose us and discloses our moldings
Strength built through multiple generations of coatings and coding
RIP
