Down in the dirt

• Written by

Knocked down in the dirt,
With your blood on my hands.
I passed out,
But now I do understand,
That you were a greater good,
For this Earth so you left it.
Everything flashed red,
And then you took your exit.
But I don't even know,
If it was your time.
But like all the good things,
That pass us by,
Just like a lost soul,
In it's time of need.
It made me learn fast,
And put some blood on my knees.
And you won't ever know,
It's beyond you.
You think you can never die,
You're not bulletproof.
So I guess you had to leave,
You were born with thesewings.
I'll never be happy,
Until the angels sing,
When I'm dashing through ashes,
I turn from lust to dust.
And when a man's mind crashes,
He forgets about love.
Like the feeling deep inside you,
With the bottle empty beside you.
We both ended up empty
It felt like my angel just died too.
I look to up to the heavens,
To the light of the sky,
And the what's left.
I check inside myself,
I can't feel my heart in my chest.
Some things are born gold,
Sometimes there's noting to say.
Some light hearts can stay true,
But will soon fade away.
Come sit down beside me,
What could this life mean?
It's only what I've seen,
It's only just one dream.
Tell my baby I love her,
And I wish I could hold her.
It's hard to say goodbye,
When you know that it's over..
