Ok let’s start by stating the obvious.

two different eras, complete different styles and personalities etc...

I don’t know if rocky ducked anyone...

but he fought most the best fighters of his era.

his styles overrated but he’s slow and lacks defence. (thesedays)

slow headmovement and punch speed,including slow reflexes.

but had power... (KO power AND knockdown power)

he always found a way to win though clearly?...

rumours say he should’ve lost afew fights...one or two...

not enough footage...wasn’t as big back then...

he was a small heavyweight. (cruiser weight these days)

around 185LBS. (hardly get 175-199LBS now)

all massive heavyweights. (super heavyweights)

not much differance in my opinion BUT...

here’s my thoughts on Marciano and Ali vs the greats then each other...

 

Ali beat foreman. Marciano beat Archie Moore.

Ali beat Frazier. Marciano beat jou Louis.

Ali beat Liston. Marciano beat?

Ali beat norton. Marciano beat?

Ali beat bugner. Marciano beat?

Ali beat shavers. Marciano beat?

 

There was MORE better fighters overall in Ali’s era.

Marciano lacked competition.

But they both proved they can be champions and all time greats.

They both overcome massive obsticals.

 

Marciano would beat Frazier.

All he had was a good left hook like it or not.

He was just great at timing it.

He would clinch a lot confusing Frazier.

Throwing massive punches towards him.

Joe would struggle getting his lunches off.

He wouldn’t be able catch Marciano.

Plus rocky can take a punch from joe.

 

Foreman flattened Frazier easily.

Had the power to lift Ali of his feet.

Ali overcome this by dancing saving stamina.

He knocked him out in the later rounds.

 

Marciano vs foreman is different.

Both sluggers.

Both slow.

Both robotic.

Marciano and Ali are different.

Rocky couldn’t box.

But he could FIGHT.

He used a boxing defence and fighting offense.

Foreman could hurt rocky and possibly drop him.

Rocky could take punches from him though.

He wouldn’t knock him out.

Rockys too tough for his own good.

Foreman’s uppercuts could possibly KO him.

That’s if he lands.

Foreman was strong.

But Marciano found a away to win.

He would clinch no matter how strong he is.

Confusing foreman.

Taking away his strength.

He would drain foreman’s confidence and power.

Knocking him out in the later rounds.

 

Marciano vs Liston.

Liston was VERY slow and overrated.

He was a gangster and feared so forget that part.

Focus on his boxing/fighting skills.

He was slower than foreman/Frazier/Marciano.

His reflexes was worst than someone on the street these days.

BUT he had power and aggressive plus intimidating.

And he brawled always walking forwards.

Marciano would keep moving around slow or not.

He would clinch everytime he got inside.

Liston was slow so Marciano would out punch him.

Plus Marciano had (questionable) more power.

He would lean out and land a mean punch.

Marciano would KO Liston round 4-5.

 

Marciano vs Louis.

Louis was GREAT but lacked completion.

Soon as he faced Marciano his heart was questioned.

He was a warrior facing lions.

Marciano was a champion facing warriors.

Ali was a all time great facing champions.

No doubt Louis would give Muhammad a good fight.

Maybe catch him a couple of times.

Ali had very fast hands and reflexes.

Good defence and danced around.

He got into apponants heads easily.

He declared himself the greatest of all time.

Joe would beat Cassius Clay in a tough fight.

The Muhammad Ali version would UD joe Louis.

Maybe if the fight is as big as we think it would’ve then...

Ali might of gone for the KO and got careless but won the rematch in style.

 

Marciano would beat norton.

His clinching would confuse him.

But norton had a lot of power.

He would truly test rocky.

But rocky was slick and had his own style.

He was an all time great.

Norton was more of a warrior with a lot of power.

Rocky would find away to win.

I think he would get a joe Louis type victory.

BUT his face will be a mess.

He would respect Norton’s power.

But norton would get overconfident.

Then midrounds end up FEARING rocky.

Not being able figure him out.

 

Marciano vs shavers?

Shavers (questionable) hit the hardest ever.

Marciano too (questionable too)...

Marcianos clinching would confuse shavers.

Shavers was strong though.

Stronger than Liston and norton by far.

BUT had questionable stamina as well as defence.

Rockys defence was underrated BUT not exactly modern good.

Rocky would take punches from shavers.

I think marcianos greatness and presence plus will to win would get to Earnie.

Marciano would find a away to KO him in the later rounds.

 

Marciano vs bugner?

Bugner was so motivated to actually win a big fight that night.

He wanted prove doubters wrong.

He wanted to make history and defeat Muhammad Ali.

BUT apart from the motivation of fighting Ali...

He never really achieved much to be fair.

That was just a lucky night.

Let’s be honest.

But full respect for his heart.

Heart of a champ (that night only).

Marciano would destroy bugner.

 

Ali vs Archie Moore?

Archie’s even older style would confuse Ali.

Give him problems.

But his dancing and mind games would prove great.

He would easily UD him.

But due to different eras and styles trouble each other.

Different ways too obviously.

Ali would defeat him quite easily but quite close rounds.

Let’s be honest.

 

Now for Ali vs Marciano.

Ali would dance around Marciano.

Marciano would walk forward throwing single punches.

Rocky would take Ali’s punches.

Marciano would save enough stamina for the distance.

Marciano wouldn’t land clean on Ali.

But rocky would clinch everytime Ali come inside.

Ali wouldn’t get his combinations off.

It would be a scrappy ugly boring fight.

Marciano winning a MD.

Marcianos undefeated willingness will KO Ali in a rematch Frazier style.

Then Ali’s greatness to overcome Marciano would kick in.

He would be motivated to beat the greatest cruiser weight of all time.

Best fight on his resume PLUS biggest fight in history.

Probably make the money we do today (THAT fight).

The inspiration Ali received would humble him.

He would still be Ali but more confidant then ever.

Ali would be the underdog and overcome the odds.

He would be declared the greatest.

Cruising a easy UD in a trilogy.

People forgetting he lost the first two.

Marciano then wanting a rematch.

Has the hype builds up he dies in a place crash (R.I.P)
