Exponent Song (For School)

The base is the bigger number of the two

It can be any number like negative 22

It doesn't do anything alone

not unless an exponent is shown

The Exponent tells the base to Multiply itself

The Exponent tells how many times sitting on a shelf

4 to the second is 4 x 4

it's a shorthand and that's the core

To multiply exponents you just add them

unless there bases are unlike then it's just mayhem

dividing exponents is just the same except you subtract

they need to be like bases that's a fact

power to power has numbers in parentheses

you also have exponents on the outside it's their tendencies

you distribute the exponent outside to the ones on the inside

to distribute you just multiply I'm the guide

now onto the zero exponent rule

zero as the exponent equals one which is cool

Finally negative exponents

you take the reciprocal and opposite exponent that's a bonus

you end up with one over a number to a power
