VERSE ONE

 

Trying to take my life slow, one day at a time

But finding all of my views need to realign

starting to be an outsider in my area

betting on my own life, call that a trifecta

sharing white lies, like it's all good to be alive

we recognising but we trivialising,

internet putting a hand over our social eyes, Get

out of our motherfucking lives, i'm fucking serious

The world fuelled through hatred and violence

activism plagued by long silences

Internal similarities masked by external differences

Pushing to leave friends aghast cos we don't pull punches

putting others down to raise ourselves up

doesn't make you a hard fucker, makes you a chump

and pushing for peace shouldn't make you appear fucking weak

but we divide from the day we arrive, till' we leave
