Graduation

• Written by

So we started as a bunch of roots, then met each other and
Formed a group, everyday we interacted one another
Played like brothers, fought some others
And ate together after, that's the childhood
The bond glued and made a tree, a brown wood
Then grew together, whether it's in town or the hood
Cause we were innocent lives, just children outside
Running around with a smile, but sometimes curled up and cried
But we got stronger and as we got longer came the problems
Parents pondered, made an answer of branching out I remember
Our responses pure sadness we were out of it
But each one was a kid, we powerlessly reacted
We couldn't have helped it even though we were reckless
We were helpless, in front of the faith that created our fate
Of parting our ways forcing us to wave good bye and shed tears in our faces

It really is hard to believe that I'm graduating
Me and my homies at school be like "Damn, we made it"
Like Drake did on that song right now is how we're feeling
I'm happy and shit but inside, I'm a little different
Waking up going to school for the last day
Going through all your classes with your classmates
Was like a sweet final munch bite on that last grape
As I take a weight off my plate I'm saying God's grace
But that was the last piece of the fruit
It's uncertain at this moment what's next for the crew
We might scatter from each other man I'll miss all of you
So again I'll be expressing what I feel in the booth
And tell ya, whatever you choose I just wish you the best
Cause it's time to draw the line straight don't mention the mess
You encounter with your power you will keep it intact
It may be rocky but hopefully you will reach it and pass, good luck
