Shattered Glass

My heart in the right place while I chase

the thought of you through what i know to be true

im due for change, gotta rearrange, man its strange

these thoughts of you arent new cause i grew

 

from my past, smashed, crashed, took that mask it

shattered like glass while i surpass the mass like

a mad dash to the finish while you diminish

kisses and wishes of my own path in the aftermath

 

disastrous advantage, savage with my language

an elegant, angular visage man wont budge

dont judge what you dont understand in this new land

demand to be different, determined to be with it

 

this is me though not who i want to be

i really envy especially when i see you hungry

for your passions, balance reactions when it happens

interactions and expectations with these conversations

 

hope my mind dont fail me now, living like southpaw

shits backwards. bystanders and newscasters are the attackers

the world did end in 2012 infidels and millionaires unaware

or are aware back there behind the curtain

 

walking the yellow brick road to be swallowed

hollowed not borrowed to slow your go so you

dont grow into someone who matters

the birth of this curse birthed this verse

 

brothers and sisters triggers and killers in the scriptures

pictures of mirrors, reverse , turn around to what

you have found crowned king of the suffering

turning and learning while im hurting to just get by

 

goodbye while i cry for what was

wash my hands of preconceived commands

like brands i planned to expand and withstand
