The Routine
• Written by Trifolium
Underestimated yet overlooked
Next prodigy stepping to me is getting shook
Hip Hop Hero straight out the comic book
Atop the roof top tossing his grappling hook
Castles and Crooks, criminals and rooks
Subliminal messages between the lines of the scripture books
I had foreseen, at fourteen, I'd be the one with good looks
Generating rhymes like a machine, becoming a hip hop vaccine
No lean please, that's obscene
Keep my body clean other than a bit of that green
I be up late, composing rhymes to a beat
While others be trying to get their beauty sleep
I'm a black sheep, I'll die before being cheap
I do life the fairway, so I can reach the putting green
Never thought I'd write a complete sixteen
Now competing is part of the routine
