The Gator Pit
• Written by DragonBreath
When you look at me, I look ordinary
Just an average person, nothing special here
You can't see what hunger hides behind my eyes
Savagery and dark sadistic vices lie
Images and thoughts and bloody primal urges
Thoughts of a kind that make me kinda nervous
But I can't get rid of my predator spirit
So I dug a mental swamp, my own gator pit
No matter what, I'm always hungry, in a certain kind of way
My mind bombards me with this bullshit every single fuckin' day
Don't want to go prison, so I keep the goddamn beast at bay
Erotophonophilia sadly does not just go away
And even though I've chosen peace
I still have to feed the beast
On opened bodies, spilling guts, and every kind of violence
So when my lyrics come out sounding like a brand-new Slayer hit
It's 'cause it's time to throw some meat
down into the gator pit
When you look at me, I look ordinary
Just an average person, nothing special here
But somewhere deep inside the hunger waits
Needs can't be denied, there is no escape
From these cruel intrusive cannibal desires
But there's no excuses, so I must not be weak
The monster never sleeps, it whispers in my ear
I can choose not to act, but I can't choose not to hear
No matter what, I'm always hungry, in a certain kind of way
My mind bombards me with this bullshit every single fuckin' day
Don't want to go prison, so I keep the goddamn beast at bay
Erotophonophilia sadly does not go away
And even though I've chosen peace
I still have to feed the beast
On opened bodies, spilled guts, and every kind of violence
So when my lyrics come out sounding like a brand-new Slayer hit
It's 'cause it's time to throw some meat
down into the gator pit
Like a serpent hunting out at midnight
No one sees unless I choose to bite
And when I go outside, no one looks at me
'Cause when you look at me, I look ordinary ...
