Rookie

• Written by

They say a rookie is someone who lacks the practice
But I consider all my actions shown to match my status
One day I'll hit the big leagues and be the truth
Be the artist in the booth, and keep my demons in my room
But who am I to lock em up, my prison is this world alone
So Imma bring the fight to them, just wait until I set in stone
It's like power to the people, but we got stripped of that
Got the media lying but that's their habitat
Living in a colder world, but I'd prefer the heater maybe
Cuz people got me shivering, hearts been in the freezer lately
Sometimes I wonder why the hate makes all the people crazy
You learn to hate before you love, I swear I see it plainly
Yeah,
You see making party music
But then you wanna judge me harshly when you hardly do it
I learn to speak from my experiences
Use my five senses, and when you talk is senseless
But that's more common to the common man
Negative nonsense, stay positive, the knowledge you can hold at hand
Put your mind at ease, with this lyrical massage
We've all been misled, misguided, mirage
Fucked up before, put on a smile, more of a facade
Was labelled being odd, but I still Fear God
I am thankful for the life I live, grateful what this music gives
Cuz it taught me, be myself, and ALWAYS DO IT BIG
