Red Fades Black
• Written by JayDub226
Never believed it was true, that I would make it thus far,
Didn't stop to think, that I'd be here today to say
My life is always evolving every day in every way
Nine to five on the clock never even gotta set my watch
The ransom note left on my front door pulled the trigger
Barrel against the face, icy metal cold shiver
It's all so clear now, foggy skies fade away
Love was never meant to last, it was designed to fade
From orange to blue, yellow to pink, red always fades to black
Never will a day pass that promises it will last
No excuses, no more lies, give me blunt forced truth
Visualize the cycle repeating itself, beginning within the youth
Starts young, finishes old but never beats around the bush
We all know we were meant to live, sometimes we need a little push
