Let me convince you this//

It ain't a coincidence//

That the times that I spent cryin//

Feelin like I was slowly dyin//

Were the times that I spent denyin//

Always questionin God like why? N//

I wasn't livin but God helped me survive//

For that, I'll always be thankful//

Though at the time, I wasn't grateful//

Didn't care cause my heart was hateful//

Can you relate tho?//

 

Sure, on Sundays I attended church//

And never missed a service//

Still followed the ways of the earth//

Cause I was ignorant of the sermon//

 

See, you can rock a gold cross on your chest//

With a 24k chain on your kneck//

You can play the Christian part//

But what's that really worth, if there ain't love in your heart?//

I know that all to well, cause I been frontin, I've been fake//

Kept a bible on my shelf but I never kept the faith//

But he knew, he knew I wasn't faithful//

And he knew I never prayed til I had a reason to pray for//

 

I'm a sinner God, I'm sorry that I've sinned//

I'm thankful for the fact that you always forgive//

And when I said I didn't need ya, but you knew that I did//

 

Man, these streets are cold//

And my demons are bold//

I only turned to God cause I had no where to go//

 

He taught me not to vent//

Instead I learned to pray//

I don't need sympathy, when I got Jesus' strength//

I felt so empty and hopeless, but now all I feel is saved//

 

I remember that dreadful night//

I remember my desperate cry//

I said I might just end my life, but I'm tryin 1 last time//

Send me a sign//

I said if your really there, I need to know the truth//

And if you heal my hurt, I'll give my life to you//

 

I'm so glad that I seeked him//

Now I know that I need him//

Cause every second I breathe him//

 

I know that I ain't perfect//

But at least I know I ain't worthless//

the good Lord gave a me purpose//

Imma make my life worth it//
