Where is the love where is the peace

Where is the serve and protect by the police

We are people of color not animals in the zoo

After all the bullshit that this country has gone through

From Trayvon Martin through George Floyd

The police are acting so damn paranoid

That is the situation that we can't avoid

When it comes to racism this country is destroyed

 

Now we got a president who is so fucking clueless

Turning the police into an army that is ruthless

Leaving the marks of the bumps and bruises

Like our ancestors felt when they were abused

And ridiculed by own their slave masters

Its time for a change cause our lives matters

Right now we are writing a new chapter

As we gather all the races together to learn

 

From Martin Luther King to Malcolm X

And the rest who had been through it all we won't forget

To begin a legacy where they had left off

With marches peaceful rallies and standoffs

But now the police saying that this shit is offensive

They hide behind shields and plates thinking they're aggressive

Why the hell do they treat us this way

Beating us with nightsticks and using pepper spray

 

Like we're wild animals trying to escape

What they're doing now is way worse than rape

Treating us like we're prisoners from Beyond Scared Straight

How scared are when we're dealing with this hate

There is so much bullshit on our plate

We need to stop this race shit before its too late
