Rebels

We the people, create a revolution,

to fight

because we fend for ourselves

 

We march in the city, the streets, the alleys, the galleys, the pastures,

anywhere and everywhere that our feet can hold their own

 

Why is it that we are called rebels?

As if

We reak havoc and chaos

As if

We plunder from our other neighbors

The same neighbors we fight alongside with

Why not, freedom fighter?

or Right Dividers?

Because the only thing being divided is our people

 

We seek freedom but don't fight

We seek trust but don't believe

We want love but don't give some

 

Chained by ourselves, and yet we have the key

All we do is continue to greed for

But never give and return

 

The life of liberty, freedom, love, trust, and fraternity

are earned not given

Especially, never given by the rich as we fend for ourselves

Can't you see? even our own happiness is a rebellion

So then, aren't we all rebels?

What? you don't like that name?

Do you prefer hypocrites?

 

Then stop acting like puppets

Write scripts meant for kings

And lyrics that make a difference

 

Do you see what I mean?

Each day we fight and not alone

The rich and the poor alongside

Even if in separate problems

 

There is a revolution before us

Everyday

So stay

For the world criticizes you with every breath you take
