Ahead of the curve

I've seen too much but it's never enough
to keep me from seeing further, too much
Ignorance is bliss, life is pretty rough
Open eyes see through lies, wish they'd shut
like the door in my face, can't win the race
That's the more prevalent issue these days
Bat shit, I seem, on my throne, Bat Latrine
Battle after battle, left on my own
That'll never bring me down, but I've been shown
I'm nothing on my own, crazy, I'm known
Dime bags turn to dubs, lazy, as I'm told
Mine is a story, tragic and great but
Everyday I fight, story untold
Always I strike, but never will I fold
I get beat down, every time I wake,
sleep is where I come from, and time will take
me back, there's nothing to run from, fake
escapes I make, all it needs is to wait
cause everything brings it back, like bait
Jaws of death, all them, today, almost ate
Pause that, take a breath. An angel saved me
She takes so much shit from all you, I see
her differently than the herds mean words.
See, I'm the Shepard and you follow me
We don't need bad blood but it'll be yours spilled
If I hear one word, reason I'm on pills
is so you don't get killed, I'd be so thrilled
if my doctor wasn't billed to keep your lungs
filled, then I'd make sure your story is done.
