Road to Victory: Part II
• Written by DocBastard
Time to start the game, crack your brain, like wrath of caine/
Limelight, my mind's racing faced with these dreams we chasing/
Hindsight, Dimes and fame, expensive things/
The world's on pause just remember what time it was/
The time is now to chase after these lightning bugs/
Pray every Sunday, Go to work every Monday/
Everyday we line up for that one train/
We cherish the hope that maybe someday/
The record labels would end up signing us/
I opened up, to the darkness surrounding us/
From Harkless, to Mark Best, we denounced the cult/
of victory, and the synergy was down to none/
regardless, we flawless in our imperfection/
Hardest part was to part till the intersection/
And dart forth the familiar question/
Interjection: The heart is as the heart does/
From heart to art, and flames apart, the fire starts/
and roars at hearth, the final farce, has come to pass/
The greats have passed, our time at last, the hero is/
The world at risk, all on his wrist, the mic is gripped/
The tightest grip, the brightest gift, survival kit/
is at his feet, the crowd they reach, to sing and preach/
these hieroglyphs, he lights the spliff, and takes a whiff/
of cannabis, the populace, is chanting his/
name, like he's the champion, an average kid/
the fans are in a massive spin, the cops are in/
the rush then ends, his time is up, his life undone/
back to pedestrian, can't touch the hemp, to re-assess/
He's feeling stressed, he must transcend/
The lyrics that he said in jest, his head is vexed/
neck drenched in sweat, he represents the present tense/
the modern man was never dead, he's in my head/
the mastermind, with appetite, a man of style/
mild-mannered smile, that hides his guile/
he perhaps aspires to what man desires/
A life of peace and blazing fires
