Equilibrium
• Written by HJB
Sitting at my desk trying to spark a fire
I ain't got no match or lighter
But bars are what I acquire
I'm a lone wolf this ain't a choir
Consistent flames are what I desire
My skill level's getting higher and higher
I might need a firefighter
Before I set myself on fire
I was just warming up until I couldn't stop
A bit like a fuse that's connected to TNT and then blew up
Wait that reminds me of my brothers
Going in mental spirals at our mother
Why do we sometimes hate each other?
I guess that's pass and parcel of family
There would be no love appreciated without tragedy
Like yin and yang you need death to live
How can you survive when no one else can give
We take too much of our planet
God dammit
This routine has become a habit
The rising temperature I can't stand it
The balance has had it too much life has been added
Death is now at it becoming an addict so manic it spreads
Breath is contagious entering our heads
Gasping for air infected in the lungs
Life tries to escape but gets caught when it runs
I guess this is how death comes back
Just by witnessing the absence of protection
We're trying to fight this viral infection
Finding light at the end of the tunnel an injection
A vaccine that can cause destruction
To the point that makes the virus of death a dysfunction
It tears it apart into the heart no more suffering
Winning a war that we had to endure
Yeah we were covering our emotion
Until we found that secret potion
That stopped this endless ocean
I can see the finish line
Now I know where I'm going
I'm feeling fine
Just rowing
We're all in the same boat together
Knowing that is vital
when we're not we become our worst rival
We throw each other off board into a tidal wave
Now that the flames have been extinguished
The lyrics I gave can be relinquished
