- It's like history's moving backwards
- we're back to the first chapter
- the only difference now is that they don't tell us that they our masters
- They think of us as nothing but gangsters and wack rappers
- forget about the black actors or the stars on the raptors
- They think we good for nothing, and no one will care if we die
- Out of every 100 deaths they probably cover 5
- on the news, black youth shot and abused,
- no crime committed but the officer still acquitted
- maybe if the officer was of color he'd be convicted
- The system governed by a black person is still twisted
- Sandra Bland, May she rest in piece,
- now the black folk scared they can't get job in one piece
- This ain't skyrim, you might catch a bullet to the knee
- if you get caught with as little as a gram or two of tree
- They say the darker the berry the sweeter it's juice
- but this country doesn't want fresh fruit
- they happy with vegetables, lacking the testicles
- to accept that they ain't the only ones who slowly walk the earth
- since when was it wrong for a mother to give birth
- to a child of color with nappy hair and black eyes, for what it's worth,
- I don't see a problem, whether you're from Scotland or Somalia
- whether your name is Maryam or Monica
