Lyrical Analysis of...
Missed Dreams
- verse 1: My bodies running ragged,
- souls breaking jagged more and more,
- i'm throwing up maggots on the floor,
- what happened?
- i can't explain it,
- nor deny it,
- the lord works in mysterious ways,
- can't defy it or quit,
- life just happens,
- its more than missed chances,
- and drunken dances,
- life's matchless even god can't fathom it,
- what are we supposed to achieve,
- leave in our names,
- grieve when we've been deceived,
- there has to be more we've yet to receive,
- in our draw of the lottery,
- it's random
- but still people believe,
- and make peace with a passion,
- they try to rationalize,
- what makes us human,
- i don't even know if i exist,
- let alone know the solution,
- for all i know,
- its an illusion,
- yet to be proven by man,
- mixed up collusions when the delusions began,
- powered by the thirst,
- for power considered cursed,
- it reverses in a burst,
- ending up with us getting hurt.
- verse 2: some people found the answer,
- when they don't even know the question,
- i'll keep my mouth shut,
- let them learn the right lesson,
- cause to me life is a game,
- meant to be played backstage,
- where my character isn't even the main,
- age and time move in vain of mine,
- my own existence,
- overshadowed by a paradigm,
- it's a crime,
- to be this useless,
- though i'm used to this,
- hated for so long,
- when i die i won't even be missed,
- i'm terminal waiting to be outlived,
- dismissed,
- sent to the abyss,
- assisted by the pain of remiss,
- you could say i'm persistent,
- resistant to reminiscence,
- forgone to the point of inexistence,
- pray for forgiveness,
- it's not over, til it's over,
- though my life may be mediocre,
- i'm not stopping nor moving slower,
- shoulder the guilt as it gets closer,
- i'm the holder, the owner,
- i will die not as a moper,
- but as a soldier.
