Lyrical Analysis of...
Nothing but Bad
- "Ay yo.... Surv, Nothing but bad."
- {Chorus x2}
- Because even though a life was so empty and sad
- When she got tormented, she #had to be glad
- She prayed, and cried, and wished she died, she had,
- But, still her life was still nothing but bad
- Let me tell a little about a dream I had, about a girl who's life was nothing but
- bad. Even if she was sad, she'd have to get through it. She had to grab life
- but no matter how hard she tried there wasn't anything to it.......
- So let me tell you this dream, let me do it!
- And let what this woman's been through, and make it impact you, it's time to
- take you through it!
- She was born in a minuscule house, by such a fuckin' whore of a mother a
- sperm bank could have accepted the spit from her her mouth.
- She had two sisters, and no mister, I guess the father realized her mom was a
- whore and ditched her.
- She was a good girl, but she was growing in a corrupt world, with two sisters
- that would beat her, just to do her mothers job, all of the stress would defeat
- her, and her siblings started to rob. She went to school, which her siblings
- dropped out of, and was considered the opposite of cool, which her mother
- wasn't proud of. So she beat her until she had bruises, bleeding and pleading
- as she cried from contusions, hoping it'd get better as she lead her life of
- confusion.
- {Chorus 2x}
- Because even though her life was nothing but bad
- When she got tormented, she #had to be glad
- She prayed, and cried, and wished she died, she had,
- But, still her life was still nothing but bad
- She actually got a job in high school, and paid for college.
- She'd get to a place where she'd not learn hate, but knowledge.
- She took a career as a writer and since her family wasn't there to fight her,
- she was happy, yes, she was actually happy! After she graduated, she ran
- from home, call her scrappy.
- Met a man, held hands, fell in love, like two doves. Except the dove was a bat
- because after she gave birth to 3 kids he was gone like that, before you
- could say ratatatat.
- But she raised those kids, and they grew up, and she tried to write, but most
- of it ended in the garbage can like throw up.
- She became sad again, raising 3 kids is hard when you can't even pay for
- college tuition. She wanted to steal, to help our lives heal, but that bursts with
- sin, like an electric eel. Their youngest son, at 5 years old, didn't know how she
- dun feel', so he would keep her sad, making as much noise as a seal.
- And she tried to write, and she tried to fight, through everything, but she still
- felt like she was in a ring, with a pit of tigers, and she always felt the devil
- beside her.
- So she thought about the kids, but it didn't work, seeing her in my dream,
- I wish I could have saved her, but her emotions weren't in good behavior.
- And I saw her kill herself that night, to end the fight, I guess she wanted her
- life to take flight.
- But listen here, this isn't a dream, this girl was my mother.
- Yes, the same one who gave birth to my brothers.
- I miss her with my heart, but I know it was her past life being nothing but bad
- that tore her apart.
- {Chorus 2x}
- Because even though her life was nothing but bad
- When she got tormented, she #had to be glad
- She prayed, and cried, and wished she died, she had,
- But, still her life was still nothing but bad
