Murder In the Streets (Sweet Rel...

• Written by

When i was younger never led a good life,
didnt matter to me what was wrong or right,
always runnin my mouth and startin a fight,
Now I see it clearly/got my true sight,
seein in color no more black and white,
was feelin dim and it changed to really bright,
Slight miscalculation of judgement inside,
never felt like this until i almost died.
Doctors said they didnt know how i defied,
the preacher man told that me i should take pride,
and that there's a reason for me being alive.

CHORUS:
My moms always told me, dont spark any beef,
dont want my son to be a murder in the streets.
Tell her i wont bring her that grief/then she smiles like she feels sweet relief.
Deceived her only wish how was i so naive,
Brief moments where they said i never breathed,
so lucky not to be a murder in the streets.
